The redevelopment of Ribicoff Cottages consisted of demolition and replacement of the existing 1960’s garden apartments with modern energy efficient townhouse style housing units. The completed project includes 106 housing units with a mix of townhouses and apartments with a three-story community building. The development includes new roads and infrastructure, totaling $21 million dollars. Heat and domestic hot water was designed into each townhouse by the means of underground distribution piping. Townhouses also included multiple zones for heating & cooling. The community building included its own backup generator, laundry facilities, and trash chute compactor. The entire project is Energy Star Certified.
