New construction of 260,000 square feet of 222 apartments and a management building. The project included all new roads and utilities and incorporated a completely new street grid to ensure a “walkable, safe” area. All units have direct entrances to the street, and inclusion of porches and covered entries. Construction of Brookside was completed in various phases over several years. Design features incorporated Energy Star appliances and bio swales to channel storm water. The project met “Green Communities” design guidelines, including energy efficient mechanical systems, reduced water usage and the use of local materials.
